I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and just a couple of years ago completed the Subtle Yoga RYT200 Teacher Training, a person-centered style of yoga that can be tailored to differing body types and physical abilities while bringing subtle awareness of body, mind and spirit. This therapeutic style of yoga was transformative for me because as I continue to rely upon yoga to maintain strength, flexibility, balance, mindfulness and joy, I also depend on the calm and peace that yoga brings to my life.
My favorite part about teaching yoga is connecting with individuals who attend my class. I find true joy in helping others feel good and strive to help people integrate yoga into their daily routine. I recently taught a greenway yoga class series where breath by breath, we felt our connection to the earth and the beauty of nature. My desire is that together our yoga journey will continue “off the mat” helping us to nurture kindness and compassion for ourselves and others.
