Embracing yourself exactly as you are Whole, Bold and Beautiful.

Letting go of Perfection.

Letting in Freedom.

August 14-16th, 2020

We like twisted, contorted trees that have been sculpted by the winds of time, are exquisite in our imperfections.

We invite you to recognize when you are hustling for others approval and acceptance, to pause, to breathe, to acknowledge your emotions and move into the sacred space of Self acceptance.

In a world that is constantly trying to convince us we are not enough, being centered with our Soulself enables us to stay true to the unique and beautiful creation God intended us to be.  To stop chasing the IMPOSSIBLE and nurture the belief I AM POSSIBLE.

Learning to embrace our imperfections, knowing we are enough and we are loveable “as-is”, allows us to live a life of freedom, happiness and joy.

During our time together you will:

  • Experience practices such as SHINRIN-YOKU (Forest Bathing), SELF-COMPASSION and GRATITUDE all of which you can incorporate into your daily life.

  • Discover how to awaken the energy centers of your body and practice accepting your whole self.

  •  Reflect upon your life experiences and acknowledge the teachings through FOCUSED FREE WRITING, discuss ways you can share this wisdom to benefit others

  • PRACTICE MEDITATIONS designed to align you with your true self, that which is pure love and wholeness.

  • Nourish your body and relax into the beauty of the present moment through RESTORATIVE YOGA

The Greenblues are a duet whose spectrum include blues, ballads, mantras, chants and more. Their music brings a message of world thought, and is often seasoned with eastern and African musical stylings. Many traditions are blended into a unique eclectic style, creating a very original kaleidoscope of sound, while maintaining the intimacy of a duet.

An experienced RYT 200 professional, I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and teaching for 15 years. Previously an instructor at Shine Yoga Center, Cincinnati’s premier yoga studio, and am now teaching at the YMCA in Marion, NC, and Jack’s Mountain Preserve in Old Fort. Through the years, I have trained with and attended numerous workshops with nationally recognized instructors and have taught individuals and groups of all levels and age groups with a broad range of physical challenges and capabilities, including pre- and post-natal yoga and chair yoga.

A devoted and passionate yogi, I teach as an offering of heart-felt gratitude for the healing power of the spiritual, mental and physical practice that helped me recover from a disabling back condition. My classes are infused with a love for language and movement, a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, body mechanics, and a genuine joy of living in the moment.  My students experience the therapeutic benefits of an alignment- based practice and an understanding of how our human responses to emotional, mental and physical stresses can be brought to balance through a regular yoga practice.
